Re: Q24 - The brains of identical twins

For D, the first sentence in the stimulus tells us that identical twins have the exact same genetic information. The second sentence tells us that there are cases when only one of the identical twins has schizophrenic. Suppose two identical twins are called T1 and T2, and they have the same propert...

Q20

I narrowed it down to A and D and finally chose the wrong one. I can't find anywhere in the passage that says inquisitorial system is based on cooperation.
Any help on this is appreciated!

Re: Q26

Great question. At first, I completely agreed with you -- where the heck does Eltis weigh in on this? -- but then I found a small detail that makes (A) just a little bit better than the other answer choices. So, we agree that Drescher talks about anti-slavery sentiment cutting across class boundari...

I can't see why the wording of "computer systems" is wrong, since throughout the passage, the author was concerned with "computer systems"

Re: Q23 - A television manufacturing plant has a total

According to Noah's explanation, if we change answer choice (E) into the following:

Takes for granted that the rate of production is not NEGATIVELY affected by the number of workers employed at the plant

it will be a correct answer?

Re: Diagram

Hi Mike,
I want to know in your example, if I switch the first two words afd, acb, bac, ead, ebc
is it still alphabetical? Because my understanding is that as the alphabetical rule only restrict the first letters of the five words, not the second letters, thank you!!

Passage Discussion

What does the word "narrator" refer to in this passage?
In the first paragraph, it seems to refer to editor. in the last, it seems to refer to the slaves.
What did i get wrong here?

Re: Q20

?? Because that's what (D) says: There are other factors. We know this because NGF is the "first." And their functions are not explained in the passage. Thanks for your reply! My point is since the functions of other neurotrophic factors are never explained in the passage, we don't know w...

(D) The function of NGF is described in lines 50 onward. The function of the other factors is never explained or mentioned -- they're not even named. The whole passage is about NGF.

Hope that helps!

Re: Exam 44, Section 1, Question 20

Hi Mike, Sometimes when a question asks what is most strongly supported by the information in the passage, it is asking you to make a logical inference based on the facts of the passage. That is, given what you know, what must certainly, or almost certainly, follow from the information. The correct...

Re: PT2,S2,Q16-The advanced technology of ski boots

The last sentence simply says that the incidence of non-slope injuries increases as the amount of alcohol per skier increases. This does not say that the amount of alcohol consumed did in fact increase, as (B) says, it simply says that these injuries are more likely to occur when more alcohol is co...

Re: Logic Challenge #31 - The Presentation Game (Hard)

Thank you Mike! Let me try my hand at the wrong answers. Answer choice (A) gets us the following conditional statement, "If L is before P, then M is also before P" but we know that when L is before P, M is after P, so (A) is incorrect. Answer choice (B) is in agreement with the condition w...
