Hi Dear Manhattan Instructors ;)

Is there any good strategy to solve this kind of "what is the basic assumption?" CR questions?

(Is this question too broad to explain, haha? Not need to be specific. A very very brief tip is enough for me, I will figure out the rest.)

well, you have the method of negation: if an assumption is false, then the argument falls apart. so, negate the answer choices (= make them false), and see which negation destroys the validity of the argument.

beyond that, it's you, your brain, and your common-sense knowledge of the real world. (if you're looking for a "formula"... that's not going to happen.)
