(C) when married women had children under eighteen it was more likely for them to be working different
shifts from those of their husbands'
(D) that married women with children under eighteen were more likely than other married women to work
Is idiom in C also problematic?

Thanks,
Have a nice day

Among lower-paid workers, union members are less likely than nonunion members to be enrolled in lower-end insurance plan
Is the placement of for them problematic?
Thanks

this is a multiple-choice test.

if there is a choice with "it is more likely for X to do Y", then there will definitely be another answer choice with "X is/are more likely to do Y".
in that case, it will be a straightforward task to eliminate the former and keep the latter.
