Re: Q1

Agree with both of above reasons. As your concern with similar prepaid plans, read lines 16-18. those suggest that there are similar plans.

what's the difference between C and E? Is C wrong because it says it settled an ongoing debate? because it is not ongoing? or did it not settle an debate?

Re: Q20

I see 2 problems with D. 1) the the term essential. While they are an effective mean to control the mites, they may not be the necessary one. 2) It only mentions the example, it doesn't mention what does this whole example trying to show, which C clearly ties the example with the bigger picture.

Re: Q25 - Some people mistakenly believe

Noah,

On choice C, when they say farther, I took it as in a temporal sense, but i still eliminated it on the basis it changed from understanding to appreciate, is that a good basis? Also, is it referring to distance or temporal? thanks

Re: Q17 - Philosopher: Graham argues that since

Noah, I was also down to B and D. However, I don't think the conclusion mentioned in D meant philosopher's conclusion, but rather grahams. What led me to eliminate D is that the philosopher isn't really countering graham's conclusion (the best life is a life full of activity) as much as countering h...

Re: Q15 - Economist: A country's rapid emergence

I was actually down to B and D. Why is it B wrong? Is it because that B says tend not to affect.. So it's ambiguous and therefore doesn't do anything to the argument?

Re: Q10 - Samuel: Because communication via

Personally I think the biggest fault in C is the problem with anonymous communication. Both people are talking about communication via computer. Although it is usually anonymous, I don't think it can jump from that to anonymous communication.

Re: Q9 - Reducing stress lessens a person's

totally agree with the above post. Except when you said imagine if music elevated stress.. that would the polar opposite. For the negative, a logical opposite would be imagine if music does not lessen stress.

Do these type of assessment questions appear at all in recent tests? (40 -63) I suck at these, I can never decide whether they succeed or not, any hints?

Re: Q24

Another problem I had with E is that it is too broad. While author would agree that in this instance with aboriginal rights the language may be unclear (although this is questionable to many people), it certainly nowhere warrants that this problem exist in the whole constitution. Slippery slope!

Re: Q15 - Goodbody Inc. is in the process...

The way I look at it is that E has the word most severe effect. While it can not have the most severe effect, it still could have some negative effect on the industry, so this answer choice does nothing at best.

Re: Q20 - Professor Donnelly's exams

I saw E quite different than mshermn. While the argument clearly had a whole to part flaw, the flaw in E is not distinct at all. In the argument, we can be certain that the question is part of the exam, while on E the jump from a subject to a test seems too far fetched for me.I dont really know how ...

Re: Q5 - researchers have found that, hours after birth

Hey Noah, while I got this question right, I'm confused about the paradox, or there lackof. What exactly is the paradox here? I treated this one more like an inference question. And only the first sentence seemed to be relevant. I thought the second sentence is useless. Sorry for the ramble, its qui...

Re: Q7 - Two different dates have been

The thing that seems awfully out of scope for me on this question on answer D is that it says the one that inhabit the areas covered by ice masses died out. what about the one that inhabited somewhere else?

Re: Q16 - There are two kinds of horror stories

If D actually said most HORROR stories, then most would not be a problem, since it is explicitly said typical, which is more than half of the time. I think. D is almost kind of like A, may most stories about mad scientists aren't horror stories, maybe they are autobiographies( hopefully that's not t...

I;m actually interested in seeing the explanation of #17. I'm having trouble understanding why is it b and not e? I actually chose b just because the cost of the resource is no where found in passage. but where is e supported?

As an economics major, some background knowledge definitely helped me sped through this one. Key ideas, neoclassical thinks the solution to most problem is growth, so for them, growth...

I also want to add one point. in choice (E), it infers the production of the acid is the cause of the resistance to the virus, but the argument only offered a correlation, no causation is discussed
