Re: Q12 - Biologists have noted reproductive

I have a question about (A): As earlier posts mentioned, (A) attacks the author's premises. I wonder if, in general, we can or cannot attack premises in Weaken questions? If we can, is A wrong because we shouldn't assume that the funder of the studies has anything to do with the studies' result? Tha...

Re: Q3

Is (B) wrong because we can't be sure that literary techniques such as deconstruction are being employed to interpret law? I chose (B) because I thought, yes, Posner surely admits that the law-and-literature thing is happening, and in this movement, literary approaches are being applied to interpret...

Re: Q7 - Economic growth accelerates

For (B) to be correct, we need to assume "accelerated business demand for the development of new technologies" equals to or leads to "accelerated technological change", don't we? And can we assume that?

Re: Q14

I chose E on my timed PT, but went for B when I did it untimed. How can we infer "most" on answer choice E when the traditional theory only accounts for conflict occurring within a species which in my mind can't be assumed to mean that the traditionalist think is the case for most species...

Re: Q19

I was down to (C) and (E) and couldn't quite figure out why (C) is wrong. In the first paragraph, line 7-9, doesn't it say "wampum certainly did become a medium of exchange among Europeans and H"?

Re: Q24 - Each December 31 in Country Q

This is a really tough question... here are my thoughts after 15 minutes of struggle, if it helps with anyone:

X=supply

1990: X
1991: X + newly mined - consumed

1991 < 1990, meaning:
X + newly mined - consumed < X

newly mined < consumed

Re: Q13

I have a question about C: In line 46 it says some insects can detoxify a harmful secondary substance in the plants they eat. Is this "detoxify" thing not the same as the "chemical reaction" mentioned in C?

Thank you.

Re: Q20 - Most people in the United States

I'm having trouble with the most/many issue here. The stimulus starts with "most people in the US" but then in line 4 it reads "most people". I thought it's a scope shift... Because most people in the US does not mean most people in general, or in the world, right? You can have e...

Re: Q26 - Club recruits players

I understand why (E) is superior to other choices, but I have a question about the latter part of (E): Do "almost certainly" (last sentence of the stimulus) and "more likely than not" (in E) mean the same thing? For me, "almost certainly" means almost 100%, and "mo...

Re: Q18 - Hospitals, universities, labor unions, and other insti

I chose (E) instead of (B) - The "not all" in (B) just annoys me... Since the stimulus says "even though each of their individual staff members" do things for selfish reasons, I feel like it would be better if (B) says "an organization can have a property that none of its me...

Isn't C saying that Helen shouldn't apply her own moral principle (what she does is within her control) to other people, say Mark (What Mark does is beyond Helen's control)?

Re: Q12 - Politician: Those economists who claim

I chose C and this is how I see it: [The politician] mistakenly infers that [the economists' claim that consumer price increases have averaged less than 3 percent over the last year] is not true, from the claim (referring to the politician's claim that "the economists have not shopped anywhere ...

Re: Q19 - People who receive unsolicited advice

B - Why Ramon and the salesperson's interests do not coincide? Ramon wouldn't want to purchase the least expensive fridge, right? Because "on the basis of the salesperson's experience" she doesn't recommend it. Maybe it's not a good product. Or should I not make this assumption?

Re: Q21 - Naturalist: For decades we

I don't see "more care and attention" in E as a problem because I see a comparison between "South Island tuatara now" and "South Island tuatara then." Now, the tuataras are only found in one circumscribed geographical region; then, they were found in both South and Nort...

Re: Q14 - In older commercial airplanes
