Q9

Can someone please explain to me problem 9? I am using the logical flow chart, but I don't understand how to read it to answer these CANNNOT BE TRUE questions.

Sure! The logic chain can take some getting used to, but we can use the fact that this is a conditional question to make things easier. As with any other conditional question, start by making a mini diagram (here, a t-chart), input the condition, and fill in what has to be true from there.

Start by putting T out, then strictly follow the arrows. If T is out, then M is out; if M is out, then R is out; and if R is out, then L is in. So we have:

In: L
Out: T M R

What cannot be true? R can't be in, which is answer choice C.

Hope this helps.
