When we go through the setup, our eyes should land on the QG chunk (since chunks are the valuable type of rule in Ordering games). Where can the QG chunk go?
Mon/Tues: sure
Tues/Wed: sure
Wed/Thurs: can’t, because P is on Thurs
Thurs/Fri: can’t because P is on Thurs
Fri/Sat: can’t, because Q can't go on Fri.
So the QG chunk is either Mon/Tues or Tues/Wed.
Some of us would start two frames, so that we could see that:
Q G __ P __ __
__ Q G P __ __
If we have those frames, answering Q9 is pretty easy, because we can see that G or Q will always take up Tuesday, thus L could never go on Tuesday.
If we didn't have frames, we would want to use previous work. We know from Q8 that L can go on Wed, because we had
Q G L P (N, L/Q)
We can also see from that scenario that L could be Fri or Sat.
So our work from Q8 would allow us to eliminate (A) / (B) / (C).
We could test (D) or (E). With (D) we'd find out that there's no good place to put the QG chunk. With (E) we could come up with a could be true, such as L Q G P N L
(D) is the answer.
