This question adds a condition: Henre uses exactly three appliances. If he uses exactly three appliances, we know he can’t use H (because this puts three appliances out of use, leaving only H and M to be used) or V (because this puts three appliances out of use as well, leaving only V and M to be used). Thus, if he uses three appliances, they must be M, R, and T. The is the only possible grouping of three.
