Q38 - Surrealist: Many artists mistakenly think that models

by slimjimsquinn Sun Sep 09, 2012 8:57 pm

I'm caught between A) and C). Is the difference between "an artist's work" and " artists" themselves?

If so, what is the significance of that difference?

Thanks in advance!

That is not the deciding factor between those two answer choices.

Our main conclusion is our first sentence. It is a mistake to not have models only from outside the psyche.

We then have support for this in the next sentence. It would be an ironic waste to use artistic representation on something that would already be seen without the artist's work! Imagine a clunker car. The artist could paint it exactly as is, but what a waste. Its already like that for the world to see. Instead, why not have dragons breathing fire on the clunker car as it flies in the air?

Our main conclusion is the idea of using the psyche in art at least sometimes.
