Q3

by patmichaelsmith Tue May 01, 2012 2:59 pm

Question about choice A:

If the only unsliced loaves are oatmeal loaves, there are 2+ unsliced oatmeal loaves, which requires at least one unsliced rye loaf due to rule #5. This means choice A CANNOT be true.

This hinges on my interpretation of "unsliced loaves" as referring to at least two loaves. From my perspective, "unsliced loaves" does not include the possibility of there being one single loaf.

Thanks,

This issue was addressed earlier this month here: http://www.manhattanlsat.com/forums/dia ... 0265a21e53

And agree with what was stated there. It is perfectly consistent for the possibility of a singular option to be found in a concept of oatmeal loaves.

Even if you had trouble with this answer choice, answer C is so clear cut. We know we have at least 1 O unsliced. So no way can we have the only unsliced loaves be R.
