Q27

I am wondering answer choice D is from? a mis-match of expectation? or line 54-56 about familiarity?

(D) is supported by both passages.

A: 21-27
B: 42-46 (yes, the mismatch)

If you're missing this question, I get the sense you didn't really understand the passages. Try pausing at the end of paragraph and making sure you understand what you just read.

Good luck!

But the reason I didn't choose D is because i wasn't sure if "continuous" as noted in Passage A could be said to be "predictable"... Why can we make this logical jump?

Look at the third paragraph. It contrasts two types of music/sounds:
1. Continuous, rhythmical, constant - relaxing, suggests peaceful conditions.
2. Discontinous, sudden, unexpected - demand more attention, connection to danger.

You can infer pretty easily from the above that the continuous sounds are predictable/expected.
