Q25 - Sixty adults were asked

by b91302310 Fri Oct 08, 2010 7:39 am

For this question, I think (A) is also unable to resolve the paradox. The diners spend much longer time doesn't mean they consume more calories. Could anyone explain it ?

Thanks.

You are right that (A) does not explain the paradox (perhaps they ate for longer but didn't eat more) well, but note that we're not looking for answers that perfectly explain, but rather could contribute to an explanation of the difference.

One explanation could involve eating for longer making one eat more, and (A) could contribute to that.

This answer is very similar to (D), which would, in order to be a slam dunk explanation, require a connection between the attractiveness of food and the amount consumed.

Hope that helps. Please feel free to follow up if I haven't addressed your concerns!
