Right, we have no idea whether the kids could identify other utensils. Maybe they were great at identifying the whisks, or whatever, that the other kids used.
(B) is supported, on the other hand, because we know that every child only picked his own rolling pin when asked to name all the rolling pins. So there was no overlap; no child understood the term to apply to any object other than his own.
(A) is incorrect because we have no idea whether the kids understand the rolling pins' function.
(C) is, if anything, contrary to what we're told: the children only identify the pins they used, which maybe suggests that they don't understand that rolling pins have the same shape.
(E) is definitely the opposite of what we're told; the children only pick their pins, so they clearly can tell which were theirs and which were not.
