Q2

by theanswer21324 Thu Aug 29, 2013 5:11 pm

Hey

I had a question about 2 and 4. When they phrase the question as "number of files that separate Z from H" or "number of files that separate X from V," how would you count that? Do you count the spaces between, or do you also have to count the spaces apart?

So for example, in #2, I got that it could be ZMX_VH_O. To get the correct answer, I would only count: "MX_V" to be 4 files?

Just for future reference, how would the question be phrased if the answer wanted you to count from (Z to M) (M to X) (X to _) (_ to V) and (V to H) to get 5?

Thanks! Sorry - just a little confused since I put (D) for 2 instead of C and (D) for 4 instead of (C)

Hey TheAnswer,

It's definitely exclusive. To be honest, I think they've worded it pretty clearly here, but even if they hadn't, there's really no way to work inclusive that makes any sense, and as far as I know, I've never seen such a thing on the LSAT. It's always exclusive.

Hope that helps!
