Q2

by gmatalongthewatchtower Wed Apr 18, 2012 11:15 am

I was confused between E and A. I ended up choosing E. I thought that because the passage states that ".....are NOW discussed because of the church's intervention", the topics mentioned were also barred from being discussed by the FCC.

Any help. Can you please give me some tips to solve "purpose" questions.

Thanks

Why are these examples being listed? To support the point of the paragraph. What's the point of the paragraph? The first and last sentences of it. Essentially, exactly what you said. Before this case, the public didn't have a say. Now, it does. They are examples of how this case has changed things, which is what the whole passage is about.

Nothing about stations "obligations" is ever mentioned.

My advice is to pay attention to the big picture, even when working detail questions. And read very literally.
