Q2

by AnnaC659 Wed Apr 11, 2018 8:30 am

Hi, I didn't have a problem going through this set of questions.

But I don't quite understand the solution to this question described on page 475 of LG Strategy Guide.
So there it says: "From the new condition, we can infer that the two groups are SHR and LP. To which cities could these groups be assigned? There are two rules to keep in mind: L can't be assigned to V, and if P is assigned to V, it would need to be with H. Since P and H are separate, we know that P is not assigned to V. Thus, the students must be assigned to either M or T."

I understand all of those apart from the very last sentence. I understand that LP can only be assigned to either M or T. But why should SHR be also assigned to only either M or T? Can't SHR be assigned to V as well? I don't see any restriction to it.

Could you please explain this for me?

Thank you in advance.

You are totally right; it's a bungled explanation. Thanks a lot for letting us know! We'll add that to our Errata page, which in case you're ever seeing a mistake again, you can check here first to see whether it's already a known issue.
