Where in the passage did you see an answer to the question A poses?

The passage doesn't make that exact comparison. In P3, we're told that jurors give undue weight to confessions made by the defendant. In P4, the author points out that the same psychological phenomenon might make jurors also give undue weight to confessions reported by an informant or accomplice witness. But we're never actually told whether jurors do or do not give exactly the same weight to these two flavors of confession evidence.

Hope this helps!
