Q15

by AlisaS425 Sun Mar 15, 2020 11:17 pm

Hi, I'm not certain on this one, though I got it right by POE.

First elimination:
(A) both passages do not specifically talk about "public compliance" and "controversial judgments"
(E) only Passage B talks about "limitations imposed ... by constitutions"

I'm troubled by (B), (C), (D).
(B) - explicitly stated in Passage A (line 20), but I'm not sure where it's inferred in Passage B (is it lines 56-57 where the author says that "large institutional losses would result from a lack of trust in the honesty of judges"?)
(C) - stated in Passage B (lines 58-59), but doesn't seem to appear in Passage A
(D) - stated in Passage A (lines 18-19), but doesn't seem to appear in Passage B

Can someone help explain/confirm my thoughts above? Thanks!!

First, sorry for the delayed response here. Amidst all the chaos of the last week, this one slipped through the cracks.

Second, you nailed it! The only thing I would add is that Passage B line 50 (increase public cynicism about the judicial system) also supports B. Nice Work!
