Joanna, here's a link to the correct thread to PT84's Q15:
https://www.manhattanprep.com/lsat/foru ... 18817.htmlAs for the Q15 on test 85, it seemed like both passages were talking at least somewhat about opera and at least somewhat about the relationship between words and music within opera.
(A) Definitely answered by psg A, but I don't think we can find a moment in psg B when it ranks the expressive medium of poetry vs. music.
(B) Psg B never talks about the "emotive" power of poetry. He is saying that in order to properly judge the aesthetic value of an opera, we need to judge the poetry in tandem with the music. But "aesthetic value" is different from "emotive power".
(C) No one is ranking opera vs. other forms of classical music.
(D) Psg B definitely answers this question by saying "the words are crucial! You can't judge the aesthetic value (artistic effectiveness) without them" (lines 39-48). Psg A says that "opera's aesthetic value depends NOT on the poetry (words) of the libretto".
(E) Neither passage is trying to contrast opera from all other musical art forms.
