But think, why would Martin state, "You are forgetting that even students in tech majors are required to take some liberal arts classes"...?
He mentions that to respond to Ramona's claim that students miss out on exposure to wide ideas due to them being tech majors.
So Martin is implying that although that is true, they are still required to take certain classes that will expose them.
There is strong evidence that Martin would agree that not every single class exposes a student to a wide range of ideas. He would not bring up the liberal art class requirements if he felt that tech major classes were doing the job.
Does that clear things up?
