by soyeonjeon Mon Apr 22, 2013 9:33 am

I keep getting C for # 11.

1) OS-OF-NS-MF-MS-NF
2) OS-OF-NF-MF-MS-NS
3) OS-OF-NS-MF-NF-MS

Thanks! Appreciate your help!

The only consistent orders you presented are in slots 1, 2 and 4.

Slots 3, 5 and 6 are could be true possibilities.

As we already know FO is in folder 2, the remaining slots left that we can definitely fill with certainty are slots 1 and 4, hence answer choice (B).

How is that true? 3 and 4 cannot be the same subject matter. Since 4 is definitely M, and 1/2 take up the remaining O's, 3 must be an N = 3 remaining courses known with certainty.

If OF (Oceanography Fall) is in 2, then what you know is that you're in the scenario where Oceanography Spring (OS) is in 1.

So it's:

OS OF ___ MF ___ ___ <--where MS has to be in 5 or 6

While 3 is an N, we don't know if it's NS or NF.

That leaves 3 spaces undecided, and 3 decided. (B) is the answer—two OTHER orders are known in addition to OF.
