Q11

do we just use trial and error for this question, or is there a more efficient way for this one? (i can merely eliminate A during quick scanning)

Thanks for help!

Hate to break it to you, but I didn't figure out a faster way to do this one either.

Apart from using previous work and scanning to see what you can eliminate based on it (in addition to your initial diagram of course), next best move is to be strategic about which you test. In this case scan for the one that looks possible and try it out.

Again, in this question that doesn't get you very far... so you just gotta go fast. My best tip is not to hesitate at this point. If you try all of the above and are still stuck, start writing! Don't waste more time thinking about how you must be missing something...

Late to the party, but there is a way to at least narrow down what you test by eliminating basic rule violations

A) is out because M can't be first, right away

E) is out because V-G-L in the last three slots means V comes between P and G which is no bueno

D) is out because P-L-J in the last three slots violates P-M-L

Which lets you just straight up test B) and C) which are harder to eliminate on first glance because the partial list is more spread out/in the middle

C) ends up being wrong for violating rule 2, where G would have to come in between L and J which is not allowed
