Can someone please verify whether this explanation for choice A) being the right is valid?
Lines 19-22: and concludes with reintegration into society accompanied by a heightened status gained as a result of the second stage
Lines 35-40: as an adult … Naomi breaks through the personal and cultural screens of silence and secretiveness … and reconciles herself with her history.
So, is the "heightened status" equal to "heroism" here, which in this example is Naomi breaking through the screens of silence and secretiveness?
I was struggling between A) and B). I chose B) because paragraph 1 says that the heroism is emphasized through the novel form. The last part "and symbol" disturbed me though, but was not sure if the explanation above would be sufficient for A).

Uhh, now that I read it more carefully, answer B) makes no sense at all since Kogawa is the one who carefully deploys structure and symbol, not Naomi
