Problem #891

Hi,
Can anyone explain problem #891?
I tried to copy the problem as it is exactly shown on the arcade game, but my browser is does not allow copy and paste.
so, The Diagram goes somewhat like this
F,G, H, I, J, K, L,
_ _ L-I
_ _ J & I must be on the same day
_ _ _
w t m K & H cannot be on the same day

If I is on Tues, it must be true that...
F is assigned to Weds.
K is assigned to Weds.

any help on this will be very appreciated! :D

It appears from your post that we also know that Monday has exactly 1 person going and that Tuesday and Wednesday have three people each.

With that being known, this is how I denoted the rules and answered this question.

We know that with J being on Tuesday, we will have I go along with it on this day. We also know that L comes prior to the JI vertical block, so this will fill the one and only slot Monday has to offer.

We are now left with a single slot left on Tuesday and all three slots left on Wedneday. We have the random variables of F and G along with K and H left. We have a rule regarding K and H that states these two cannot be on the same day. This will force us to be one of K and H on Tuesday, as to not do so would force them to be together on Wednesday.

So our answer is that F must be on Wednesday.
