Interesting passage where we can actually think back at what's happening to our society. Are smartphones narrowing the accessibility of benefits in different groups? Yes.

[Passage Analysis]

P1: While it is generally understood that developing new technology benefits those people with more capital, in the long term, it narrow the gap and act as overall democratizing force in accruing benefits provided.

P2: Printing press enables widespread availability on documents and literates people - increased level of access / Computing power availability widespread way more than the past / Technology for leisure / Communication technology.

P3: Market system's inevitable quality of need to expand market contributed to this.

Overall: While people have misconception on who benefits out of technological development, the market system allows for democratizing benefits on the society.
