Open Assignment Games - No Repeat Examples

by steven.kantowitz Wed Apr 28, 2010 6:20 pm

On pages 203-204 of the LG Strategy Guide, the book mentions "no repeat games" and "intersection of three element sets," in the context of Open Assignment Games. The book does not offer any actual real questions for these types of games, so I was wondering where I can find examples of these types of games.

Thanks.

Hi Steven,

Repeat / non-repeat are both common in assignment games, and you should see examples of each in your homework --
Some examples of "repeat" assignment -- PT 45, S 3, G 2 & 4
An example of non-repeat assignment -- PT 44, S 3, G 2 (used in class).

The 3-D issue is one that comes up far less commonly, but there has been a history of it so you may want to be prepared.
Some examples...
PT 31, S 1, G 4
PT 30, S 1, G 1 (unusual assignment game)

Hope that helps!
