5th edition question

I nee help with question on p202 (Pt38,s4,q16)
Conclusion is
trust others -> see difficult task as a challenge

Premise is
-believe others distrust them -> confident in own abilities
confident in own abilities -> think of difficult task as a challenge

How do I chain these statements?
Do I go from Conclusion to Premise?

In p210 answer suggests
- believe others trust them -> trust others
But I dont understand why believe others distrust in the premise changed to trust

Also in p221 answer suggest
trust others -> -believe others distrust them

If I contrapose this, wouldnt it be something like
-believe others trust -> -trust others?? which might contradict p210??
