Word Translations Chapter 5 Question 12 why not 1/2

by wignewton Sat Jul 11, 2009 6:34 pm

In the word translations Book, Chapter 5 problem 12 there is a 40% chance that the candidate will win and a 40% chance that if she wins that she will sign either y or z bill. The chances of her signing z bill are 1/2, how do you come up with 5/10 when there are only 2 bills to sign ie 1/2? Thanks--dan

Hi Dan,

5/10 is 1/2. The Strategy Guide put everything over 10, so it's easier to convert to a percent.

Hope that helps!
