Word Limit

Perhaps this should go in the "Essays" section, but... no one ever posts or responds there. I've heard rumors that the essay word limits are a little forgiving, and that you can be about 5% over without anyone noticing (i.e. no one is really going to count your words). Do admissions consultants have any advice/feedback on this?

The rule of thumb is to no go over 10%.
