Why it is so hard to improve verbal score

by ZhenM102 Wed Sep 28, 2016 2:01 am

I have no problem with Q section, after enough training, I was able to improve significantly on Q. But for V, no matter how much I do, no improvement or very little. In fact, my SC part has improved significantly because there are rules I can summarize, thus studying systematically. But for the CR and RC, I feel like it very much depends on luck. Since the ability to detect the trickery of logic and details cannot be systematically trained or learned within short period of time(lets say three months), rather the ability is born with or obtained through long term life experience.

I feel a serious bottleneck choking my score at low 700+ and the V is the choking point, hoping to get some instruction on how to break the choke point.

Thanks in advance!

this is the wrong folder for this question. this sort of thing should be posted in the "General GMAT Study Questions" folder (= first folder on the forum home page).

if you already have a GMAT score over 700, though... then further preparation for the GMAT is almost certainly the wrong way to spend your time.
