Which score to report?

by JT Sat Jan 03, 2009 6:01 pm

On my frist GMAT (12/08) I got a 48Q / 31V (84% / 55%) - 640. On my second GMAT (1/09) I got a 39Q / 40V (55% / 89%) - 650.

Unfortunately, besides Dartmouth, I don't believe any schools allow you to split up the score. In any case, which score would you suggest I report to HBS, Kellogg, Wharton? Do certain schools prefer better quant over verbal or vice versa. Is there a psychological 650 barrier. Rest of package is relatively strong I think, 3.7 GPA from Gtown with lots of leadership experience, and good work experience in financial services.

Your advice is appreciated.

If you're American (of whatever ethnicity), report the score with the higher quant.
