What Am I doing Wrong?

by Nadia.Marston Tue Feb 04, 2014 11:23 am

I just finished a 9 week course with MGMAT. I just took my final CAT and I scored a 460. I was expecting at least a 650. I would read the material and do the practice questions. On my last CAT I did have a timing issues and did have to guess on the last 7 in quant and the last 3 in verbal.

My Practice Scores

1st MGMAt CAT 490 Q29 V29
2nd CAt 480 Q29 V28
3rd CAT 460 Q27 V28
4th CAT 560 Q33 V34
1st Official GMAT 440 Q28 V26
5th CAT 460 Q 28 V27

I am very frustarated because I have invested a lot of time and money and have not seen any improvement.

I just took a quick look at your tests - you have very significant timing problems that are pulling your score way down. If you just finished our program, you're eligible for a Post Course Assessment - a phone call with an instructor to talk about your test results and what to do from here. The instructor will tell you what to do in order to fix this problem.

Look in your student center in the Office Hours section; it should show you the option to sign up for your PCA. If you can't find it, contact our Student Services team (gmat@manhattanprep.com or 800.576.GMAT).

I also strongly recommend reading these articles (in order):
https://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/inde ... lly-tests/
http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... -the-gmat/

These two are on time management specifically (but read the above two first!):
