Waitlisted without interview

by navoneel_pal Fri Apr 30, 2010 1:42 pm

Hello,

I am waitlisted without an interview at Univ of Rochestor, Simon School of business since 08th Jan 2010. I have had frequent communications with the admission office by email since I was waitlisted. I have informed them about my career progress, my promotion at work...Also I have arranged for two extra recommendations-one academic and another professional, I have had frequent email communications with current students and professors(with admission office and sometimes the dean in loop)..I must say they were really nice and they have always welcomed my inquiries and ended with positive remarks.

Do you recommend me to do anything else at this juncture? Should I request for an interview? Will that be OK to ask? I dont know if getting waitlisted without an interview is a bad sign or not...

The admission tool says they will let me know the decision before 1st June 2010

Thanks a lot in Advance!!!

Thanks for your question. It is always important to follow the school's instructions for waitlisted applicants. It sounds like you have done the right thing by providing updates to the admissions committee. I do not recommend requesting an interview if the school does not provide this as an option to waitlisted applicants. All you can do at this state really is "wait". Hard to do....I know. Hang in there and best of luck!
