Using "THAT"

Hi MGMAT,

I remember reading something about when to use the word "THAT" somewhere, but now I can't find it.

Can you clarify:

After verbs like "said", "stated", or "announced" you don't need to use "that" (He said he liked the ball)

After commanding verbs like "command" or "demand" you need to use a "that" (He demanded that his son to do his homework)
