Use of would in "IF" clause

by GauravS745 Sun Jun 15, 2014 7:53 am

Hi All,

i just have a small doubt in my mind as some on gmat club forum had mentioned that use of "would" in IF clause if always incorrect.

So, just wanted to check with some experts.

e.g) While some Faculty members believe that Physical Education should be integrated into every course offered by the university, others say that students will take Physical Education seriously only if it would be taught as a separately required course.

If the above sentence incorrect?
If so, what would be your alternative.

Thanks in Advance.
