Usage of being

by PriyankaR833 Thu Mar 09, 2017 3:33 am

I am so confused about the usage of 'Being'
for eg. Unlike cats, regardless of (being) domesticated or not, cheetahs have claws which are not
retractable and they are more like dogs in that way.

I am just being a badass.(We use such sentences in colloquial English, but I am unsure about it.?
Ron,Tim,Stacey please help me out here?

i gave some examples in this post:
https://www.manhattanprep.com/gmat/foru ... ml#p104631

beyond that, you should make sure to ask specific questions that are based on problems from GMAT materials.
the GMAT tests less than 1% of all potential problems with English sentences -- so, if you're asking random questions that aren't specifically based on GMAT materials (like the "badass" example), those things will almost certainly be irrelevant to the exam.

if you have any questions about the use of "being" in a specific problem from a GMAT-related source, then feel free to post those questions here, in the appropriate folder(s).
thanks.
