Re: Help! Battle plan for last week until test?

Did you do the essay and IR sections on GMATPrep? If not, then that would be one reason it felt a lot easier - you weren't as tired when you got to Q and V.

People with higher scores do report GMATPrep feeling easier, though, especially on the quant. Our quant is generally harder.

If you can stick to your timing on quant and NOT let yourself get sucked in when the questions are just too hard or time-consuming, then you should be in good shape on test day.

At this point, your scores are so close that they're all within standard deviation. You have a shot at hitting your target, so do what everyone should do at this stage and be optimistic. If you fall a little short, you can take the test again - lots of people do and the schools take your highest score, so no pressure.

I'm guessing you have 4-5 days left, so you're in comprehensive review mode now. Review major strategies across question types (including timing and guessing strategies) and review your overall pacing plans.

See the second half of this article if you need help with pacing strategies:

The last couple of days, do almost nothing at all. Your strengths and weaknesses are what they are - trust that and try to rest your brain. No more than an hour the day before - make plans to go see a movie, go to a restaurant you've been wanting to try, catch up with a friend you've been wanting to see, etc. Anything to distract yourself from dwelling on the test.

Good luck - let us know how it goes! (Note: if you have any last-minute questions, call our office - 800.576.GMAT. The different forum folders may only get checked once every 4-5 days.)
