Hi all-- hope that studying is going well for ya!
I took the GMAT yesterday morning and got 750 (M50, V41: 98%). I took the MGMAT classroom course during the summer. I did all the assigned hw, meaning I've done all the official problems once during the course. I then took some time off from studying then started studying in November. I studied 2 hours/day during the week and studied 5 hours/day during the wknd. I re-did all the verbal official guide problems. I never had trouble with the math section (I was consistently getting 45+ in practice tests), but I was getting 40-50 percentile in verbal. Well, English is my second language afterall but still, I thought I was hopeless! Many thanks to God and MGMAT staff (Ron, thanks so much for answering all of my crazy questions in GMATPrep problems!), I was able to do it :-)
Here is my token of advice:
DO AS MANY OFFICIAL GUIDE PROBLEMS AS POSSIBLE. DO them all. Make notecards out of the ones you got wrong. Then look for a pattern. If you are consistently getting the same type of problem wrong, read up on it, post questions to this forum...make sure you understand. If English is not your first language, make notecards of any idioms you come across. Those were very helpful for me.
Please let me know if you have specific questions. Oh by the way, as crazy as it sounds but I had imaginary numbers in my math section. What da heck?! huh? :PPP You never know what to expect from these test makers! :-)
Good luck to you all. Happy Studying! (and happy holidays!)
xoxo,
J
ps: again, thank you so very much MGMAT staff for all the help!
