Clearly A) is correct. However, I wanted to confirm my understanding of the proper usage of "to a height of" vs. "as high as". My current understanding tells me that "as high as" is a COMPARISON, so that the phrase must be followed by an object to which you are making the comparison. However, "to a height of" must be followed by an explicit unit of measurement and associated magnitude (eg. three to four feet). If "three to four feet" were placed after "as high as", that would be nonsensical, as the object is not as high as 3 or 4 feet--it IS 3 to 4 feet.
