locked between A, C, and D.
perhaps C will be eliminated for using "capability...in dealing..."
I went for D because it uses an active voice, but got it wrong.
A: uses "X's ability to..."
D: uses "capability of X to..."

Any help?

This sentence is full of Idioms, I don't know what GMAT wants to test especially from non native speakers.

use of especially is better than specially here

This limits you choice A , B and C

In choice B, "because of diminishing" is not correct

In Choice C, "capability of ...ing" is not correct

So you are left with A...
