Straight Outta Pearson..

by ashish.mishra Wed Sep 23, 2015 11:09 pm

So couple of hours back after my third waltz with the fickle lady that is GMAT, I bowed out with a 770(V 47,Q 49,IR 5)

adding some more details about myself,
30+ Indian male
SSC(ICSE):90%,HSC(ISC):84,

(undergrad)BTECH IIT Varanasi:69.00%(had too much fun during graduation)

Total work experience of 8.5 years .My current designation is of a Senior Manager leading the India team of forty consultants in a niche business Technology Consulting firm(Glorified IT) with 3.5 year in a Big 4 firm.I scored 710 back in 2008 but didn't apply anywhere as I considered the score too low .

Professional Achievements:

5 promotions in 7 years, including the only double promotion in my current organization.

Led the team from 2 consultants to current strength of 40 in 4 years .

Multiple recognition and appreciation awards and have work experience in three European/north american countries .

I am not sure about the schools I should apply to. I have doubts that my undergrad scores could hamper my chances to get into a top US B school

Hi there,

CONGRATS on the 770! That is excellent and will certainly assist your MBA ambitions. Have you considered any Exec programs at all? You may be qualified for some, food for thought; but generally you'd want to narrow down your criteria of what you are looking for in a school...
