SIMPLE BUT CONFUSING SC: Ted, Dan, Diane and me were all

by Guest Thu Oct 02, 2008 11:44 am

Ted, Dan, Diane and me were all cited for contempt of court.
(A) Ted, Dan, Diane and me were all cited
(B) Ted, Dan, Diane and I were all cited
(C) Ted, Dan, Diane and I were the ones cited
(D) Ted, Dan, Diane and I were cited
(E) Ted, Dan, Diane and I was cited

My take on this is D. But the OA is B.

My query is in "B", "all" seems to be redundant as we are already using and to compound the subjects.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks

I suppose the word "all" could indicate that four people were each cited independently, but that would be a stretch. Given the options here, I would go with D as well.
