Should I prepare before taking my MGMAT course?

I know this may seem silly, however I've been out of school for a long time and some of the math and verbal questions seem completely foreign to me.
Any suggestions?

this depends on just how out of touch you are with the fundamentals, especially in terms of quant (math).

in verbal, we pretty much start from the ground up. you don't need a whole lot of basic knowledge of verbal, other than ground-level essentials, such as the names of different parts of speech. for instance, you should definitely know what a noun, verb, preposition, etc. are, but you don't really need to know the names of much else.
once you have those things down, you'll be pretty much set to start your treatment of the verbal section.

in math, on the other hand, there is a significant foundation of basic arithmetic, algebra, and geometry required to attack the problems.
all of the relevant foundational math facts can be found in the 5 math Strategy Guides, which you'll get as part of your course. however, if you've not seen this material in a while, then you may find that the quant sections will progress at an unacceptably fast pace.

if that is the case, then you may want to consider our one-day Foundations of Math workshops. there are two of these, each running for three hours; they cover the basics of math that you learned in high school but have since forgotten.
