Sentence Inversion Problems

by DCE Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:06 am

Hi

I am particularily having tough time solving Sentence Inversion problems.

Can you suggest some strategies to tackle these type of sentence problems.

Looking for something more than the usual trick - to invert the sentence.

Thanks and Regards,
DCE

Hi DCE,

By Sentence Inversion problems, I think you mean those in which the verb precedes the subject, e.g.:

"There were clouds on the horizon." inverts to "Clouds were on the horizon."

...but can you please confirm?

Please give us some examples of what you mean, and the trouble you are having.
