Study Group - in person or virtual (Raleigh-Durham NC)

Hi all, I'm in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina and looking to form a study group. Would prefer to study with those have a some amount of familiarity with the GMAT and are around or above the 650 level. If you're not in the area but are in Eastern Time, we could do virtual study through Skype (or some...

OG 2016 vs OG 2015

Is there a need to study from 2016 editions of OG, Verbal, and Quant Review books instead of the 2015 editions? Has anything changed significantly? Aiming for 700+.

Study Organization

I've been working on CR and Quant for 3 months, and it looks like the effort is paying off. However, I have now lost touch with SC and RC questions. I find that I've forgotten many of the concepts in SC (modifiers, parallelism, prepositions, etc.), and I'm quite sure that my RC abilities would have ...

Re: Study Organization

Thanks for your advice. Is there any way to get the same/similar analysis for GMAT Prep tests? I've taken some Manhattan CATs already, but want to try the real test now.

Re: Study Organization

Hi Stacy,

I've taken a GMAT Focus Quant assessment and received an estimate of 45-49 (Quant only). I am not able to attach my score report. Can you email me? Thank you.

Idiom: request that

What is the correct idiom for "request?" Are both of these right, or is one wrong:

I request that John do the homework.
I requested John to do the homework.

Thanks.

GMAT score evaluation

I took the GMAT today. My score is 720 (Quant 50, Verbal 38). Unfortunately, it falls below the 730ish average of a couple of the top schools that I'd like to apply to. My IR score is 5 out of 8. Other details: Undergrad and Masters: Georgia Tech, Engineering GPA: ~3.7 and ~3.5 Work Experience: thre...

Re: GMAT score evaluation

Thanks for the advice! I'll probably stick with this since I haven't averaged over 750 on my practice tests.
