Re: Probability GMAT Q that I'm stuck with

Hi Ron,
This was posted in one of the two CAT exams of GMAT Prep. Can you please explain why the answer would be 4/23?

I got this answer correct but I think I guessed it...

Thanks a bunch!

Re: If Q is a positive integer less than 17

I see why B would be the right answer, but was the OA marked as C? If so, then won't B be considered wrong according to them?

Re: Some public health advocates have become concerned

I think I have difficulty in understanding the question asked. Which type of CR question is this? I believe I got this answer wrong because I did not understand what the question was asking for. Can you help?
thanks!

Re: x^3 > 1 to x > 1

Hello, Im not really clear on why B is correct. I did the same calculation and got 2x<2 or X<1. But then I stopped there because I did not know the sign of X, because if X were neg, then it could be X>-1, which is insufficient. What am I missing? Maybe I didn't get the concepts right? Pleas...

Re: x^3 > 1 to x > 1

Hi Tim - thanks for getting back to me. I went from X<1 to X>-1, because in my head I thought that what if x was negative, then the signs would flip to X>-1. So in this way I thought that there could be two solutions depending on the sign of X. Because what I was thinking was that we cannou...
