Re: if x and y are integers and x > 0, is y > 0?

But what if you take both the equations simultaneously as following 7x - 2y > 0 - Stat 1 7x + 7y > 0 - Stat 2 (multiplied by 7) -9y > 0 9y < 0 Hence, y < 0 According to this its C. Can you solve like this? (How I arrived to 7x+ 7y > 0 from Stat 2) -y < x ---- y > -x ---- y + ...

Re: Factors of 4?

Factors cant be in negative ever . The best way to calculate the number of factors is to calculate the number of prime numbers and their powers and add 1 to them. Ex- Factors of 4 (2 X 2) Hence the number of factors will be the power of 2 i.e. 2 and + 1 = 3 For positive squares - the number of facto...

Re: SC Doubt

Is 'C' the answer?

"In their latest press release, ....." - 'Their' refers to Managers, and it can't refer to management.

D is out because of the 'expanding .... ' modifier issue.

Some more help - The procedure for finding the standard deviation for a set is as follows: 1) Find the difference between each term in the set and the mean of the set. 2) Average the squared "differences." 3) Take the square root of that average. Notice that the standard deviation hinges o...
