Scores keep decreasing

by ababoul2 Sun Sep 11, 2011 12:58 pm

Hello,

In the past two exams I have taken my score has decreased more and more. I understand why in my last test, because I tried spending more time on Quant problems (I was finishing with like 10 mins to spare) but ended up spending too much time and not being able to answer the last 8 questions, but my verbal scores have been decreasing as well.

Can you give advice as to why this may be happening?

Thanks!

Possibly - but not without a lot more data. :)

What were your scores? How much are they decreasing? Are we talking 10 or 20 points? Or 70 or 100 points? Small point differences don't mean you're getting worse. Big point differences often indicate major timing or stamina problems.

If you had a BIG drop (70+ points or more than 20 percentile points in a sub-section), use this article to try to figure out what's going on:

Then come back and tell us what you found out.

If your score hasn't been decreasing so much, but it also hasn't been increasing, then use this article to analyze your recent test results and, again, come back here and share:

We'll help you figure out what to do in order to get better!
