That's the way the test works - everyone gets lots of questions wrong. Most people get about 60% of the questions right. Even at the very top levels (750+), people are only getting 80 to 90% of the questions right!
If you'd like to learn more about how the scoring works (and I strongly recommend it), log into your student center and look for your free copy of The GMAT Uncovered Guide. Read the Scoring section. If you don't know how the scoring works, or if you approach the test with an "old" mindset (thinking that your score is based on percentage correct, as it is on paper tests), then you'll find it a lot harder to maximize your score.
