Schools with 4 rounds

I know everyone says to apply in R1 or R2. I am looking at applying to Haas and they have 4 rounds. R3 is in late January. What rounds are best to apply at 4 round schools like Tuck and Haas. Is it only the last round that is more competitive.

Yes, anything but the last round.

So schools with 4 rounds, avoid the 4th round, but rounds 1 - 3 should be fine.

For schools with 2 rounds (Columbia and Sloan), go with the earlier round if you can.
